Mick Jagger
Mick Jagger is the singer/songwriter and has been part of the band from the very beginning. He is one of the most recognisable frontmen in the world. Jagger was born July 26 1943 in Dartford, England. Before the rolling stones he studied business at the London school of economics.
Keith Richards
Born December 18, 1943, founding member of the band and the songwriting partner of Jagger. One of the most highly rated guitarists of all time with his own unique style.
Ronnie Wood
Born 1 June 1947, Hillingdon, London. Joined the band in 1975 after previous band the Faces fronted by Rod Stweart disbanded. A long time friend of Richards, and plays a variety of guitar styles in the band including slide and pedal steel.
Charlie Watts
Born 2 June 1941, London, England. Referred to by Mick Jagger as the most important member of the band. Married to the same woman since 1964, shunning the attentions of the band groupies.
Brian Jones
Born 28 February 1942, Cheltenham, England and died 3 July 1969. Seen as one of the founding members of the sex, drugs and rock and roll culture due to his lifestyle and flamboyant sense of style. One of the bands founding members and played a variety of instruments before his death in 1969 in his swimming pool.
Ian Stewart
Born in 18 July 1938, Pittenweem and died on 12 December 1985. Initially joined the band as a keyboardist but fulfilled the role of pianist and road manager from 1963 onwards.
Dick Taylor
Born 28 January 1943, Dartford, England. Initially the bands lead guitarist but moved to base shortly after before leaving the band to pursue an education.
Mick Taylor
Born 17 January 1949 in Welwyn Garden City, England. With the band up until 1974, a well respected guitarist and still active today. Has worked alongside other artists such as Bob Dylan.
Bill Wyman
Born 24 October 1936, London, England. Former bassist between the years of 1962 and 1992. Used his own hand built fretless base guitars and believed to have slept with over 2,000 woman during his time with the band.
